It is no secret what my country is currently going through. Criminal forces have risen up against the security forces in battle for control over Tivoli & organized crime in general. Extraditions, distrust of government, a country held hostage by years of corruption & little distinction between who is good & who is just plain bad. People brainwashed for subsistence.
It is easy to say that if this & that was not done then we would not be in this position. There are allegations and accusations but how will all that help the people of a nation who hang their heads in shame & disgrace at the turn of events? It all boils down to SIN. Jamaica has more churches per square mile than any other country, and therefore the country & it's people are under constant attack from satan and the forces of evil. No one has ever once proclaimed Jesus & not received enemy opposition. But what appears to occur slowly & surely starting with just one life giving over victory to the devil, then another then another etc. things have become rapidly immoral & sinful. 2 Corinthians 11 vs. 3-"But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtility, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ."
People who have no hope in a life committed to Jesus Christ don't understand that these things must come to past. Ephesians 6 vs. 12-"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." This is an example of what the Bible means by "perilous times", "wars and rumours of wars". God hates sin. Sin can have no place in Heaven. Jamaica is full of God's people. Sin has to be destroyed and the people repent to save our nation. Christians! Renounce the lies and deception of the enemy. Be set apart! Psalm 26 vs. 9-12-"Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men: In whose hands is mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes. But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity: redeem me, and be merciful unto me. My foot standeth in an even place: in the congregations will I bless the Lord."
Now with boldness and with the Word of God as our guide, we need to fast & pray away the violence & shame. We need to praise God & run the corruption and evil out of our nation. 2 Corinthians 10 vs. 4-5-" (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;"
Just because you have churches on every block or corner does not mean that there won't be any violents activity it means nothing when you have so many pastors not teaching true jesus teaching and the whole bible. Praying and fasting is good but everybody is doing that but isn't living up to the word of god nor coming up to it. If you are not righteous (living holy) god won't hear your prayers anyway because the bible says, "For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil".1 Peter 3:12 and "Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth." John 9:31
ReplyDeleteSee you can't take one scripture and run with it. Before you can teach or tell someone about the word of god you have to make sure that your lifestyle is in line and that the word of god back up everything you say. Physican heal thy self!!!
Like you said these thing must happen the bible is nothing but prophesy so these things that are going on shouldn't suprise you. Like the bible say, "
He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn."Matthew 13:28-30
God is a merciful God, don't forget that. We don't deserve it, He just showers us with it. We have His ENTIRE Word for guidance, so I agree that Christians really shouldn't be surprised at what is happening. But my point is we should realise who the real enemy is & follow God's prescription for dealing with it.

We need more ministers out here who are ready to take a defense for the gospel and can be meet for the masters use. 2 Timothy 2:21
Yeah god is grace and mercy and long suffering that's why we are still here today because he is giving us a chance to be holy as he is holy.
ReplyDeleteWhy do I say that these things shouldn't suprise you because like the word of god says these things are written for our amunition so that we won't make the same mistake. It shouldn't suprise us, the bible is a warning of the things to come.
Easy to be insensitive and critical when you are unaffected.

Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye. (Luke 6:42)
Other nations including the great US of A are just surviving because of God's infinite mercies. Countries with enough false teachers and prophets per square mile and God is sparing them. So its very unnecessary to make generalized comments that my country men are not living righteously and that's why God isn't hearing our prayers. He promised never to leave or forsake us and we know that all things work together for good. So I know I can rest assured that when the smoke clears God will get all the honour and the glory because these things happen so His prophecy and name can and will be fulfilled!
And also worth mentioning...God's name should NEVER be in lower case
God's anointed said apart of what I'm feeling. I pray hard for other Christians out there who are not showing the love of God for others. These attitudes discourage people from embracing Jesus & the great love that brought Him here to die for us in the first place. Noone said boldness is prayer, but when you walk with God you can boldly approach him with everything on your heart. Please don't be quick to tear down others, that is not what this blog or Our heavenly Father is about.
